This is how I will explain of how important 'connections' in life can be.
A few days back, I went out for a drink with my friends,
Went down to a random bar in Hartamas to just grab some drinks with intentions to get stoned.
Went down to a random bar in Hartamas to just grab some drinks with intentions to get stoned.
We reached the place being a lil excited to hit the bar,
with me NOT knowing that I would bump into a familiar face.
Josh : *just cheered a round with buddies*..
Familiar Face : *taps my shoulder* So you're just gonna ignore me are you?
Josh : *turns head* gasps! WTF?! what are you doing here?!
Familiar Face : What, you blind? Having a whiskey dumbass.
Josh : But I thought you.. *interrupted*
Familiar Face : Yea yea.. long story. But the short part is im back..
Josh : You better start talking!
I had just bumped into a friend that once saved my ass from a fight back in Highschool.
The fight was in church a couple years ago
and I knew for sure.. that I needed to be there as I was partly included.
I was walking to the fight scene behind my church
and I would have been two-faced, if not for this person..
who tapped my shoulder in the past and said,
" That is not the way you should head in church.. Just listen to me. "
He dragged me away and put my ass to seat infront of the church fountain where being placed a large Mother Mary statue and he said,
" You sit, and you wait. "
After a few minutes, I hear the police and an ambulance getting closer.
3 people suffered stab wounds and one person had passed away.
The rest..
The rest..
(who were the people I was supposed to help & those responsible)
had runaway, & as I know, never being caught.
I saw parents crying and so did siblings, family members and friends.
From what I saw with my eyes,
I saw parents crying and so did siblings, family members and friends.
From what I saw with my eyes,
I could not believe what I was probably going to do to someone and to their family.
The guilt and pain was really unbearable.
I have never lost contact with the new friend I made,
and I have always followed him to church activities as respect for saving me
and also with own intention..
Till he left to work in the UK...
and till I met him again..
a few days ago..
The night went on, as he insisted me to stay..
paying my bills on and on and on..
Till he popped a question and asked..
" Josh, I want you to work with me when you graduate. Will you? "
I found out that, he came back to Malaysia only to own
6 pubs in uptown KL, 2 small clubs in Hartamas
and he is one of the main investors of The Zouk & Hard Rock Cafe, KL.
and from driving an old Proton Waja,
He now clicks the remote of a BMW 6 Series Coupe'.
With no hesitation..
I took his business card.
and now, I await my future to come..
God's will has brought me a person who once tapped my shoulder to save me,
and now has tapped my shoulder once again..
Offering my future and also my dream..
`A boy with his future in hand.
I've always wanted to own a club..
" Always keep your friends as close to you, cause you'll never know what they can do for you."
